Now even Obama-friendly Europe is reporting that the Obama campaign is in trouble. Amazing in light of the opportunity to appeal to the genuine American middle class handed to Obama with the crisis on Wall Street.
Was it Hurricane Ike or Hurricane Sarah that drove Obama off the stage at Saturday Night Live and sent him scurrying back to his Chicago home base?
But this has always been the problem for the Democrats – principle does not matter so when the real world makes clear the importance of corporate social responsibility and a new democratic approach to foreign policy, they have nothing to say.
And I can only imagine what the Ayers/Klonsky/Katz Progressives for Obama types have to say about all this.
That may be the problem: Obama listens to 60s-era radical authoritarians and their identity politics/critical race theory allies in academia instead of facing the real problems faced by the actual American population. That was precisely the problem with those radicals back in the day and it may be why the candidate seems so ill-equipped to confront the opportunity for a new page in American economic and social structure.
